On the last Sunday in May, before the vocabulary of this beat had settled, Tibo published the most checkable reset note in the book: limits reset for all paid ChatGPT subscriptions, and you should be back to 100% weekly and 100% hourly.
Specificity like that is what separates a reset announcement from a mood. Two named buckets and two named numbers give a reader something to disprove. Later copy from the same desk mostly says reset and lets the fleet work out the rest.
It is also a vocabulary marker. In May the phrase is all paid ChatGPT subscriptions and the second clock is hourly. By August it is all paid users of Codex and ChatGPT Work, and the second clock is the five-hour window. Same desk, different dictionary.
What it means
- Two buckets, both to 100%, stated in the post. Most Codex copy names neither.
- Scope is all paid ChatGPT subscriptions — broader wording than the paid Codex and ChatGPT Work phrasing that takes over in July.
