Hard reset
It writes the meter now.
The house zeroes the meter for everyone at once, and anything you were saving in the drawer can go with it.
Hard means hard: banked resets people had stacked — up to three — were not spared.
Method
We print the sentence, then the grade
AI Resets does not log into accounts, scrape private usage, or promise that your bar moved. We read public posts, status incidents, and staff confirmations. Then we write what the words actually did (hard reset, banked grant, policy, boost) and we stamp the card.

What a reset is actually worth
A full flush hands you a fresh window on the house. A banked chit waits in the drawer until you spend it.
Banked grant
It waits in the drawer.
A chit credited to the account and spent on your own schedule.
The grant in this post is banked, in capitals, credited during the day and spendable on your own schedule. Banked ≠ current meter: if your weekly bar did not jump at noon, that is not a miss.
Limit boost
It raises the roof, not the floor.
A wider ceiling, usually for a while. Nothing already burned comes back.
Boosts do not refund the week you already spent. This is extra ceiling, not a zero.
Receipts
Every card that is not a SAMPLE points at a post that exists. For each one the desk pulls X's public syndication JSON for the verbatim text, the handle and the posting time, then captures X's own official embed headlessly at 2x: no login, no account scraping, no cropping of the words. The capture is written as WebP with a 640-wide cut for phones. A Wayback snapshot is attempted for every permalink too, and a card carries an "Archived copy" link the day one lands, but web.archive.org is refusing x.com saves at the moment (the last run was turned away every time: 523 where the save endpoint answered at all, a dropped connection otherwise), so no card carries that link today. That is also what the grades now mean in practice. Verified is a house
voice with a permalink on file: the post, the time, the text. Reported
is a secondary desk only: credible, repeated, not yet held as our own frame.
SAMPLE is a teaching card, drawn rather than captured, and the frame
on it reads "Reconstruction · SAMPLE" so it can never be mistaken for a receipt.
Rerun the captures any time with npm run evidence.
Evidence grades
- Verified
- A named house voice (Tibo, Lydia, a status incident, staff on the record) said the thing. We quote it, and we keep the receipt: the permalink, the posting time and a capture of the post itself. We do not invent tweet IDs. We will still be wrong about your particular seat.
- Reported
- Credible secondary desks, forum staff, or a public ledger repeating a post we do not yet hold as our own frame. The book carries none today: every live card has a permalink and a capture. A card would drop to reported the day its primary went.
- SAMPLE · unverified
- Seed copy, rumor, composite, or off-desk noise. Printed so the archive has negative space. Never used in Observatory cadence. If you cite a SAMPLE card as news, you are the problem.
What we will not do
- Guess the next flush time, even as a percentage.
- Treat a personal five-hour window as a public event.
- Merge two houses because they shared a calendar day.
- Count banked grants and multipliers as hard resets.
- Sell alerts that pretend a vigil is telemetry.
How the wire is ingested
A Cloudflare Worker cron (*/15) pulls official X accounts with
X_BEARER_TOKEN and watches OpenAI status / help / community via ETag.
No x.com HTML scrape. Rows are idempotent on source_url / hash.
Never-miss alerts store email and push in D1.
Nothing blasts unless SEND_ALERTS=true.
Why a newsroom
Trackers flatten Tibo's RESET week joke, Lydia's one-sentence Max note, and Elon's Bot wipe into identical dots. The dots are useful. They are not the story. The story is the verb, the scope, the badge, and what it means if you had been saving a coupon.
