25 million, and The Reset Company throws a party anyway
The celebration slipped a day because the button had already been pressed. Then Tibo zeroed paid Work and Codex seats and signed off like a masthead.
What I wanted to say yesterday is that we hit 25M active users and to celebrate we have now reset usage for all paid subscriptions for ChatGPT Work and Codex. See you soon for more news from The Reset Company.

Sunday night Tibo had dared the fleet to burn everything and go /fast, reset landing 6pm Pacific. The 25 million toast was supposed to ride along. It didn't. The toast moved to Monday, then arrived as a paid-seat zero and a joke masthead: The Reset Company.
This is the flush you put next to 29 August if you want the culture in stereo. One is a repair. One is a parade. Same finger, different weather. The active-user ladder — 8, 10, 15, 20, 25 — is now a beat of its own. We do not treat the next million as a scheduled edition.
What it means
- Party flush, paid scope. Not an incident review.
- The previous day's delay is part of the story — the post opens by admitting this is what he wanted to say yesterday.
- Nickname acquired: The Reset Company. Filed under lore, not legal.
