We’re extending the 50% increase to weekly Claude Code limits through August 31. We hope to make this a permanent change to our plans, but strong demand for our models means that capacity may be tight over the coming weeks. We’ll keep you posted as things develop.

“We’re extending the 50% increase to weekly Claude Code limits through August 31.”

Codex culture underweights multipliers because Tibo usually zeros the tank. Claude likes to widen the tank and leave your mess in it. That is a different kindness, and this one came with a date on the tin.

The desk files boosts beside resets so the Observatory does not count them as flushes. A brighter ceiling is news. It is not a resurrection.

Read it forward: eleven days later the same account published the permanent number and the date it starts. A temporary 50% became a permanent 25%, which is why people who only saw the August post felt robbed in September. Both posts are on file. Read them as one story.

What it means

  • Boosts do not refund the week you already spent. This is extra ceiling, not a zero.
  • The extension has an end date printed on it, and the post says the house hopes to make it permanent but that demand may keep capacity tight.
  • The expiry is not a betrayal; it is the 29 August policy card, where the permanent number lands at 25%.
