Claude adds monthly API credits to Max and Team plans
Eligible Max plans receive $100 or $200 per billing cycle. Team credits are pooled by seat and capped at $500. The credits require a one-time organization link and do not raise Claude or Claude Code plan limits.

Anthropic is rolling out recurring Claude Platform credits for eligible Max and Team subscribers. The original provider post verifies the headline amounts; current Help Center terms define eligibility, claiming, covered products and expiry.
X syndication verifies the complete original @ClaudeDevs post, author and 18:08:53 UTC timestamp. It states $100 for Max 5x, $200 for Max 20x and up to $500 pooled for Team, usable with any Claude Platform model.
Anthropic's current Help Center terms say Standard Team seats contribute $20 each and Premium seats contribute $100 each, including discounted Nonprofit and Scientists plans, with the combined monthly pool capped at $500.
The Max subscription must be active and in good standing. New Max or Team subscribers become eligible after seven days. Free, Pro and Enterprise plans are excluded.
Claiming is not automatic. A Max subscriber, Team Primary Owner or Team Owner links one Claude Console organization from the plan's Billing settings. The claimant must also be an Owner, Admin or Billing member of that Console organization. Anthropic says no payment method is required.
The linked organization receives new credits shortly after each plan payment; annual plans receive them monthly. Unused credits expire at the end of the billing cycle, do not roll over and are consumed before purchased credits.
The credits cover the Messages API, Message Batches API, Console Playground, Claude Managed Agents and Claude Agent SDK. They do not cover interactive Claude Code, extra usage in Claude or Cowork, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI or Microsoft Foundry.
When the promotional balance runs out, API use draws from purchased credits or auto-reload. Without another balance, API requests stop until the next monthly credit arrives. Usage is never charged against the Claude subscription allowance.
The rollout is staged over several days. The announcement does not clear an existing meter or change plan limits, so it is filed as a verified usage-credit policy rather than a reset.

- Unused credits expire each billing cycle and do not roll over. They are separate from Claude, Claude Code and Cowork plan limits.
- This is a recurring promotional credit, not a usage reset. It stays outside reset history, calendars and subscriber reset alerts.
